Teaching English in the modern world
The 2025 Leeds English and Literacy Conference will be a day of professional learning which senior leaders, subject leaders, lead practitioners, teachers and governors are invited to attend. The day will consider the challenges of teaching English in the twenty first century and how these can be mitigated. The programme of workshops will highlight the relevance of the skills and knowledge developed through the English curriculum and consider how and why these are essential for our young people.
Together with Leeds City Council School Improvement Team, we are delighted to welcome the following keynotes:
• Professor Teresa Cremin
• Richard O’Neill, MBE
There will be a comprehensive programme of workshops facilitated by local and regional school practitioners and independent organisations.
A full programme with workshop details may be found below and delegates are asked to pre-select their workshop choices when registering.
Alongside the Conference there will be an exhibition of education suppliers and those companies wishing to exhibit at this popular event should kindly contact us as soon as possible as space is limited at the venue and stands can only be offered on a first come, first served basis.
