Further to the success of their previous annual IT events, we are pleased to be again partnering Hull and East Riding schools at this one-day event.  All schools in Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire and surrounding areas are invited to attend and the day is recommended for all Primary and Secondary teachers, IT Coordinators and Senior Leaders.

The details of the Conference keynote speakers and workshops will shortly be available and education suppliers are invited to take a stand in the exhibition which is always very popular and runs alongside the Conference.

Great edtech tools that you can take away and try. This is a hands-on workshop, so bring a device if you can. The focus is on collaboration and creativity and get you going with new tools in minutes, not hours! Everyone attending the workshop will also get access to a full Learning Trunk of edtech tools in our new teacher training platform, Spongy Elephant.

Use the Scratch programming language and the Pi Stop add-on to quickly get your students controlling LEDs and creating their own traffic light sequences.

Ross McGill is an experienced teacher and school leader, who, over the past three decades, has worked in some of the most challenging schools in London. Throughout his school leadership, he has been responsible for improving quality of teaching and learning and has a national profile as the leading contributor and organiser of online CPD within a growing community of education professionals. He has won awards for teaching, blogging and as an author – most notable for the Times 500. He is frequently asked to speak at national conferences and is regularly asked to reflect on educational developments in various publications about education policy.

Sanjesh (Sonny) is the founder of New Ways to Learn, an edtech company that works with hundreds of schools and Trusts all over the UK (and internationally) on how to get the most of technology. Jon Witts has been working in Educational IT since 2004 and has been teaching Computer Science for the past 4 years. He is a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator and also a CEOP Ambassador and Google Certified Educator. In his free time he runs the Hull Raspberry Jam events; offering opportunities for people from all walks of life to learn what the Raspberry Pi computer can do for them.
