Festival of Education 2024

LIFE Education Trust, Havering Education Services, Havering Academy of Leadership and Hornchurch Academy Trust, in partnership with Davenant Foundation School, are delighted to be welcoming schools to register for this year’s Festival of Education sponsored by their Headline Partner, Educake and in conjunction with Festival Partners, Habitude and Carmel Jane Photography and Film.

As schools navigate a new landscape in education, the theme for this year’s Festival is “What Next?” and it will launch on the Monday afternoon with a keynote address from Professor Dylan Wiliam who will share his latest research on how artificial intelligence will and won’t change education.   The Festival will then continue throughout the week providing all Primary and Secondary school teachers and leaders with a comprehensive programme of both in person and virtual presentations, seminars and discussions.  In support of the Havering Vision for Education, three strands have again been chosen for the week; Leadership, Pedagogy and Inclusion and participants can choose as many sessions as they would like.  A full programme may be viewed and downloaded below.

Following the Festival, sessions will be available from the Havering Festival of Education online website.

Delegates attending the in person sessions are required to wear their school ID lanyards for identification purposes.  Venue details will be included on the confirmation e-mail.

Participants are kindly requested to register to attend the Festival by using the online form below and to indicate the sessions they will be attending. The completion of this information would be appreciated since it provides useful information for speakers when planning the format of their sessions.
