Innovation, Inclusivity and Inspiration: Looking beyond ‘business as usual’

We are delighted to be partnering the Gloucestershire Association of Primary Headteachers (GAPH) and to be organising again this year their annual Conference and Exhibition at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Stepping away from ‘business as usual’, delegates will have the opportunity to network with colleagues in the County and listen to top keynote speakers Dr Alison Edgar MBE, Margaret Mulholland and Ashley John-Baptiste who will each provide their own perspectives on the challenges faced in education today.

Exhibitors wishing to take a stand are urged to secure their place as soon as possible as stands at this very popular event can only be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Headteachers, Deputies and Senior Leaders wishing to attend should please register below and note that the cost per delegate is £55.00 per person excluding VAT for the first delegate and £35.00 per person for subsequent delegates from the same school. This cost includes lunch, refreshments throughout the day and complimentary on-site parking.

Alison Edgar MBE

Alison Edgar MBE

Alison is not your average speaker; she's a dynamic yet relatable catalyst for business success. With her captivating presence, Scottish wit and personality, combined with her 25-year experience walking the corridors of corporate organisations, Alison empowers audiences to embrace change, enhance communication, and boost results. Her talks provide real-life implementable takeaways that make an immediate impact, proving her an invaluable addition to any event. Alison was one of the few women to be awarded an MBE on the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in 2020 for her services to entrepreneurship and business. With over a decade of experience as a business champion, she has mentored top industry figures. Alison has also played a pivotal role in advising the government on business legislation, contributing to the growth of the UK economy. As a dyslexic author of two international best-selling books, Alison has mastered the balance of how to enhance readers’ personal and professional development. Her debut book was a WHSmith Top Ten Business Book and named one of the top business books written by a woman in 2019 by The Independent newspaper. Alison is a sought-after media contributor, and recently became a boardroom advisor for a new business TV show, ‘Ready Set StartUP’ on Amazon Prime UK & US.
Ashley John-Baptiste

Ashley John-Baptiste

Ashley is a BBC presenter as well as a Speaker, who has a remarkable story of how he overcame his troubled childhood in care to exceed expectations. Taken into care at a young and growing up being shuttled between foster families and children’s homes, Ashley is a strong champion for care experience people. Ashley tells an uplifting, inspirational and often humorous account of his childhood. His story of a disjointed upbringing in foster care where so many of his peers ended up in jail, on drugs or worse is shocking to hear, however it makes his rise to success even more amazing.
Margaret Mulholland

Margaret Mulholland

Margaret Mulholland is ASCL’s SEND & Inclusion Policy Specialist and is a leading voice in inclusion policy and practice, leadership development and teacher education. She is external SEN advisor to the States of Jersey and sits on the Improving Education Together national board, Vulnerable Children’s board and Virtual Heads board for the DfE.
