“Reading is the gateway skill that makes all other learning possible” Barack Obama
Mondale Events and Leeds City Council are delighted to be organising this one day Conference and Exhibition. Head Teachers, SEN Co-ordinators and Intervention Managers from Leeds schools who have already signed up for SENCo networks and conferences package (SLA) are being invited to attend this popular conference.
The focus this year is on reading; “all children in Leeds are supported to improve their fluency in reading taking into account their individual needs” (Leeds 3As Plan) and we are delighted to be welcoming Dr Paula Clarke as key note speaker. Paula is an associate professor at the University of Leeds and is a leading researcher and author on reading and language interventions.
Two staff per school are invited: head teachers and senior leaders for the keynote session and SENCOs for the full day, including a range of workshops. Full workshop details are available here. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day together with a buffet lunch for those delegates staying all day.
Alongside the Conference, Mondale Events are delighted to have been asked to organise an exhibition where a range of companies and organisations supplying to both Primary and Secondary Education will be displaying their products and services.
This event is likely to be very popular and companies wishing to exhibit are urged to book their space as soon as possible. Please view the list of those exhibitors already participating and contact us using the form below, should you be a Company wishing to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to promote your activity in this marketplace.
Leeds United Football Club, Elland Road, Leeds LS11 0ES
Delegates are requested to register using the ‘delegate registration’ button to the left of this page and SENCOs are asked to select ONE workshop in each of the three workshop sessions. Workshops will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and, in the event of a workshop being full, delegates will be asked to choose alternatives.
Leeds schools who signed up for the 2021/22 LCC SENCo networks and conference package are entitled to two complimentary places at this popular conference.
