We are delighted to again be organising this one-day Conference and Exhibition for all School Business Managers, Headteachers and Senior Leaders  from schools in the Thames Valley.

Keynote speakers presenting on a variety of topics include Michael Quigley of Kataholos, Ross McWilliam of Mindset Pro, Dai Durbridge of Browne Jacobson LLP and Helen Lumb of the Department for Education Schools Commercial Team. Eteach UK Ltd will also be participating with a recruitment presentation.

Alongside the Conference there will be an exhibition of education suppliers and those companies wishing to exhibit at this popular event should kindly contact us as soon as possible as space is limited at the venue and stands can only be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Delegates wishing to attend should please register on this site and note that discounts are being offered for a second place from the same school.  The cost per delegate is £75.00 including VAT, lunch, refreshments and complimentary parking and £54.00 per subsequent delegate from the same school.  There is a further 10% early bird discount for registrations received by February 2021.

Dai is based in Browne Jacobson’s Manchester office and heads up the firm’s education team in the North West. He advises schools, academies and colleges on frontline education matters, including school admissions and exclusions, parental complaints, disqualification from childcare settings and GDPR. He is also a leading expert on safeguarding in education, chairing and speaking at numerous national conferences and writing articles and providing comment for the sector and national press. From supporting schools with allegations made against staff, peer on peer abuse and student mental health issues, to serious case reviews and Ofsted inspections Dai has been on hand to help schools with the full range of safeguarding challenges.

Helen Lumb - Schools Commercial Team, Department for Education

Helen is part of the schools facing Schools Engagement Team within the Schools Commercial Team. Our remit is to deliver the schools’ buying strategy, to support all schools to get the best deals and support schools in executing their buying compliantly and delivering value for money. Before joining the DfE Commercial Division Helen was Head of Commercial at Service Children’s Education. Helen has over 30 years’ experience in a number of procurement and administrative roles working in both the public and private sector. She is also a student member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply as well as being a trustee of a primary MAT. The Schools Commercial Team (SCT) within the Department for Education is leading on the, buying for Schools programme; Delivering services to support schools to buy non-staff goods and services more efficiently and to make effective use of the resources available to them. The SCT aims to reach the right people in schools to raise awareness of the cost saving, time saving and collaboration initiatives available and getting the best value from all their resources whilst ensuring compliant buying practices.

Michael Quigley, BA (Hons) 1st class, MA, PGCE - Kataholos

Michael is a former primary school teacher with extensive experience of teaching, coaching, leading and team membership, coupled with a life-long enduring passion for and interest in fitness, wellbeing, personal formation and fulfilment. He has a passion for inspiring and enabling people towards their full potential, expressed through his speeches, course delivery, professional services, articles and online video content. His business Kataholos specialises in On-boarding services for new employees and new managers and leaders. Kataholos also offer their first book, launched last year, that lays out the Kataholos Philosophy, which aims to enable people to live a wholistic full life in mind, body, spirit, emotional and digital health. This has led to the launch of their first video based online learning course, which has recently taken their reach to international levels.

Ross McWilliam - Mindset Pro

Through his work in the field of mindsets, he has changed the lives of one million children, young adults, and senior professionals. Ross has demonstrated an unrivalled record of engagement, education and empowerment. During this time, Ross has developed into a much sought-after international keynote speaker and is a published author on mindsets. Not wanting to rest on his laurels, Ross is currently studying for his PhD. Ross now specialises in growing the talents of professionals and helps them reach their full potential, either individually, or collectively as a high achieving team. Whether it’s working with the ‘onboarding skills’ of new recruits, or ‘polishing up’ senior executives, Ross achieves results.
